2020-2021 CPE Audits are underway!

The Georgia State Board of Accountancy is conducting a rolling audit of 2020-2021 Continuing Professional Education (CPE) hours throughout 2022 and 2023.

From May to December of each year a new group of 125+ licensed Certified Public Accountants will be emailed an Audit Selection letter to the email address on file.

Selected CPAs will have 45 days to respond or be disciplined according to current board rules.

If selected, review your documents to make certain you have all hours and categories. Any incomplete documents cannot be credited appropriately.

After the review, CPAs who have met the CPE requirements will receive a notice via email stating they passed the audit.

When a CPA has not met the CPE requirements, a consent order from the Georgia Department of Law would be sent to the licensee. The consent order will specify any fine and requirements to complete missing CPE hours.
